‘Manolo Bar’ Faculty Space

The space has been used as a private Faculty Room at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. The room contained a selection of photographs depicting twelve masterworks by ten modern architects and was originally donated by Javier Carvajal at the end of the 1970s. The space is transformed by designing a new thick wooden wall as a filter and storage, freeing the small interior for alternative uses far beyond the common dining room. The new collages, full-wall size, provide a new interpretation of the masterpieces by including transparencies, mirroring and multiple juxtapositions.

Sala de Profesores ‘Manolo Bar'

El pequeño comedor de profesores de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Navarra contenía una selección de fotografías de doce obras maestras de diez arquitectos. La colección fue donada por Javier Carvajal a finales de 1970, y se habían ido deteriorando progresivamente. El espacio se transforma mediante la utilización de un nuevo mueble que actúa como filtro de acceso y almacenamiento, liberando el total de esa pequeña sala para poder ser transformada en usos alternativos. Los nuevos collages, de gran escala, ofrecen una nueva reinterpretación de las obras maestras añadiendo múltiples reflejos, transparencias y yuxtaposiciones.
